Strategic Decision Making in the Maritime Industry

This course is an abbreviated version of the Strategic Maritime Management Course. The focus here is on the application of commercial maritime strategies using a computer based simulated maritime environment.

The course is conducted as a competition and therefore subject to real time pressures and limits. Participants compete with one another to gain the best strategic and financial position for their particular organisations.

Throughout the competition, participants are required to apply strategic management concepts, principles, and procedures to a simulated maritime management situation. They are also expected to analyse market information, use their own insights and perspectives, and make judgement calls in order to make better strategic choices.
